Your Questions Answered
What can and cannot go in the skip bin?
You can dispose of general household waste, furniture, green waste, and light renovation debris. Prohibited items include asbestos, chemicals, liquid paints, gas bottles, and hazardous materials.
How long can I keep the skip bin?
Standard hire duration is between 5 to 10 days. If you're working on a larger project and need more time, just give our office a call and we can arrange an extension.
Are there extra charges for specific items?
Yes, some items incur additional fees due to transfer station costs, such as mattresses and tyres ($40 each). Also, bins exceeding the 1-tonne weight allowance are charged per additional tonne.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee your preferred bin size. However, we often have availability for same-day delivery if you call us early in the morning.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Absolutely! We provide same-day service in most Melbourne suburbs. As a family business, we deliver from 8 am to 9 pm to ensure you get your bin when you need it.
Where can the skip bin be placed?
Bins must be placed within your property boundary or driveway. We require clear access and a flat space. Please note we do not issue council permits for placement on public roads.
